Mt. Lemmon closed due to snow, finally | News
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now)- Those looking to play in the snow on Mt. Lemmon will be disappointed today. The Catalina Highway is closed to everyone except those who live on or work on the mountain, that have chains and/or four wheel drive.
Ski Valley is also reminding everyone, in a Facebook post, not to call and ask for weather updates or road conditions, as everyone is prepping for the upcoming season.
These closures are due to the winter storm that is blowing through the area, dropping rain on most of Tucson and snow in the higher elevations.
While Ski Valley has not posted when they will be opening, stay with Tucson News Now during the day, both online and on air for updates on when Catalina Highway and Ski Valley will open.
