Holiday schedule for City trash and recycling | News

With Christmas and New Years both falling on Tuesday this year, the following schedule applies to both residential and commercial customers.  Recycling and trash that is normally collected from Tuesday to Friday will have their pick up delayed by a day. 

The complete schedule for collection during the holidays can be found online at www.tucsonaz.gov/esd, or for smartphone users there is a free ‘my waste’ app that allows access to all collection schedules. 

The landfill at Los Reales will also be closed on December 25, and January 1.  For more information on this please call 791-5151. 

City offices will also be closed for the holidays on December 25 and January 1.  Customers may leave a message for City of Tucson Environmental Services at 791-3171 or they can submit a service request and they will be contacted no later than the next business day. 

Pima County transfer stations will be closed along with the landfills on Dec. 24, 25, 31, and Jan. 1, and will reopen after the holidays on their regularly scheduled days: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. 

Customer service representatives will also be available on December 29 and January 5 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
